Wake Up! Works was founded in October 2003 by Tonia Pinheiro.
Our mission is to help shift humanity’s operating paradigm from fear to love. The word “works” is defined as:
FYI: The word “WOKE” entered American mainstream vernacular as a byword for social awareness. It was added to the Merriam-Webster dictionary in September 2017. Woke is the past tense of the verb wake. Its transformation into a byword of social awareness has been promoted by Trevor Noah on The Daily Show and likely started in 2008 with the release of Erykah Badu’s song “Master Teacher” which has the refrain “I stay woke”.
There is nothing but the flow.
Jump in and hold my hand, Jump in and hold my head, my face sunward. Then pull me along, so I don’t drown. Salty are my tears in this ocean wet. Salty are my tears in this ocean wet. Keep me steady in this ocean warm. Keep me tender in your safety. Keep me tender in your safety. I will drown without your life holding mine. I will drown without your life holding mine. I cannot swim. |
